Fall Hunter's Safety Course 2

Fall Hunter's Safety Course 2

Date(s): Aug 29 - 30, 2015
Hours: 8:00 AM
Event: Fall Hunter's Safety Course 2

WE DO FOUR COURSES A YEAR. IF YOU WANT TO SEE MORE CLASSES SPONSORED BY PF467... CONSIDER BECOMING AN INSTRUCTOR. KEEP AN EYE ON THIS SITE FOR YOUTH EVENTS!

It's the Fall Hunter's Safety Course, sponsored by Pheasants Forever. As always, we will be at the Glassen Education Center at the Ingham County Conservation District. The course is free and includes a breakfast snack and lunch. Class includes classroom instruction, practical field exercises and firearms instruction on Sunday Afternoon.

All firearms and ammunition will be provided by and under the control of the instructors. Do not bring personal firearms! This is a great way to get your sons and daughters involved in the outdoors. It's a good shared experience and we encourage to spend time with your child in the class. For those students under the age of 10, we ask that a parent or mentor stay with the student for the entire course. We have many adult students at each course. If you are an adult and have always wanted to get involved in hunting, this is a good place to start.

Course handbooks are available at the Ingham Conservation District. Pick one up during normal business hours (call ahead 517-676-2290). I strongly encourage that you pick up and read the course book prior to the course. This is particularly helpful for young students. There is a lot of material to cover.

If you have any questions, contact

Michelle Belosku - Director Ingham Conservation District -- Monday-Thursday 9-3pm at 517-676-2290.

If the class is full when you try to register... we do not maintain a standby list! However... if you show up on the day of the class and there is room you're in! We hate to turn people away.

We attempt to accommodate online students whenever possible. Online students will be required to attend all day Sunday. There will be the required proctored exam, field exercises, and firearms insturction and handling. You must have your online certificate! Online students will be admitted by instructors only (do not use the online registration).
